Pastor Garth O’Brian Geddes

 

Pastor Geddes is a product of Christian Education. He graduated from the Northern Caribbean University in 1996, where he obtained an Associates Degree in General Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion & Theology in 2001 & 2002 respectively.

During his tenure at University, Pastor Geddes was actively engaged in various soul winning activities. He served as Evangelism Coordinator for the Ministerial Fraternity where he was instrumental in the formulation of the ‘Noon Power Hour’ campus ministries program. This was an initiative that focused on leading others to Christ and to strengthen Christians on campus. He was also involved in other aspects of ministry including a singing group called ‘Ministers’, which consisted of other religion majors. In addition, he also served as President of the Central Jamaica Conference Club for two consecutive terms.

 n 2001, Pastor Geddes started church work with the Central Jamaica Conference, and then in2003, he joined the team at North Jamaica Mission. He served as Intern Pastor for the St. Ann’s Bay, Falmouth and Brown’s Town District of Churches, and then served as Pastor for the Alexandria District in parish of St. Ann and Stettin District in the parish of Trelawny until December 2008.

Pastor Geddes was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in December 2008. He then accepted a call to be a missionary in Canada where served as Chaplain for the LifeGiver’s Health Minisrty in Brampton, Ontario. During his time there, Pastor Geddes conducted numerous Family Life, Health and Prophecy Seminars in the provinces of Ontario and Alberta. His ministry was very successful and saw many souls won for Christ. In addition to the seminars, he conducted many Bible studies with individuals and small groups. He has worked tirelessly in conjunction with the Seventh-day Adventist Churches in Ontario in their soul winning efforts and as Guest Speaker for many churches.

Pastor Geddes is a sincere, honest, God-fearing young man who refuses to compromise his integrity for fear or favor. He is highly intelligent and brings intellectual integrity to bear on his work and relationships without being pedantic or pretentious. His warmth, sense of humour and genuine love for people makes him desired company among his peers and parishioners. His motto “to be a servant of God and a friend to man” is that which motivated him.

Pastor Geddes is happily married to Lisa-Ann, who is a trained teacher. They have two children, a daughter Abigail and a son Jonathan who has been an additional blessing to their lives and ministry.
